Stunning Transformation

Before: This kitchen renovation was part of this classic home’s revival. The ivory cabinets, off white countertops, and white floors felt dated and looked washed out. The existing island and dominating hood cut this seemingly large kitchen into two narrow halves. The furdowns were imposing and took up valuable ceiling height, and the room was isolated and closed off from the living area.
These clients dreamed of a spacious and elegant space for cooking and entertaining that would complement the home’s traditional style.

After: This kitchen underwent some serious changes starting with removing the furdowns and large vent hood. We opened up the entire space by widening the entrance into the living area by 9’ and expanding the kitchen into the breakfast room. A large new window was added to bring in some much-needed natural lighting and re-center the space, while the old window was removed and bricked over from the exterior allowing room for a beautiful 48” pro-style gas range and hood. Clean, pale grey traditional cabinets were paired with contrasting black marble look quartz countertops, all surrounding a large well-functioning espresso island with beautiful white marble countertop, simple hardware, and stunning accents.
